The current leader of Cuba is Raúl Castro and he is also the 23rd president of Cuba. His brother Fidel Castro who was the 22nd president. He resined from office in February 2008. The interesting fact is that Fidel Castro has escaped from 638 assassination plots.

Latest News In Cuba

Relatives of a woman named Juana Bautista de la Candelaria Rodriguez in Eastern Cuba have claimed to have held a 125th birthday on Feb 2, but it is not been confirmed. She has 15 great-grand children and four great-great-grandchildren. If this is confirmed and proved that she is 125 years old than she would be the oldest person on the planet.

Weather and Cilmate in Cuba

Cuba is characterized mainly by heat and humidity. In Cuba the climate is tropical and if you lived in Cuba it would be really humid . Ihate places where they are humid I rather stay in Tucson even though it is hot. Even though it is humid it is beatiful sometimes for example it is suprising that the highst temperature recorded was less than 104 degrees Fahrenheit and that is nice. In cuba there is also a lot of rain.

Recipe for Papaya recipe (Cuban Papaya milkshake)

Batido de Papaya recipe (Cuban Papaya milkshake) 1 papaya, seeded and cubed 2 tablespoons sugar or honey 1 teaspoon vanilla juice from 1 lime ½ cup cold milk (you can also substitute yogurt) 2/3 cup crushed ice

Puree in all ingredients in in a blender until smooth and frosty. Serves about four.

I did this item and I should have tasted it before I brought it to school because school I said that it need more suger because i did one thing wrong.

Caibarien is the municipality city in the Villa Clara province of Cuba. Caibarien is known as the La Villa Blanca (The White Town) for its sands and beaches. It is served as a shopping point for sugarcanes, tobacco, and fruits. It is also served as a sponge-fishing center. There hotels are now destroyed by lack of care. I think places like this are awesome and I wish that when I grow up I can live in a place like this.

I picked the festival Parrandas de Remedios because I thought it would be a great one to do after I read about it. The festival Parrandas de Remedios is about a legend during the 1820s. A young priest officiating in Remedios, the eighth town founded by the Spaniards in Cuba. They decided to have a group of children make noise with whatever they had to hand in an effort to awaken lazy parishioners to attend mass in the chilly mornings of 24th Dec.
